Mint's New In-House Legal + Presents at NACFB September

Mint Bridging, the UK’s fastest growing family run, privately funded bridging & re-bridging lender confirms Anthony Akka has joined the firm as Head of In-House Legal. With nearly 30 years of expertise in the residential & commercial property industry, his vast skills in conveyance and contractor negotiations is a timely fit for Mint’s growth surge and resulting new funding pool.

From working in civil litigation case management at Gardner Lea Solicitors to running the property conveyance division at London based Measures Franks Solicitors, Anthony’s expertise also extends to debt matters and consolidation. As founder of Deli 315 Ltd, he directly oversaw all legal management areas including health, safety, environmental objectives and compliance.

In his most recent role at Parker Properties, Anthony headed each property business division from rent accounts to court claims, property leases, collaborating with local authorities and daily administration.

Anthony stated, “I’ve seen Mint Bridging scale rapidly the past year and I was particularly impressed with their hands-on approach.” He continued. “As I’ve worn many diverse hats during my career, I have the unique skills to not only oversee Mint’s legal division but advise on multiple business objectives that overlap on legal fulfillment requirements.”

“Anthony is a great fit for our team,” Andrew Lazare, Managing Director, confirmed. “His wide, industry management attributes are important at this stage of Mint’s acceleration. Our clients know they can discuss any areas of their property loan at any time with our team, and having Anthony as a core member is a compliment to the business. With our new £100m joint venture recently announced, we’re already accelerating on our record loan book. Having Anthony’s legal expertise will be critical for rapid turnaround conversions.”

Anthony also lectures and is a trained counselor. He will be speaking at the NACFB Birmingham Workshop 27th September about the attributes and advantages of hiring in-house lawyers.
